LC23 X Umbro (SS25)
ITALIAN ELEGANZA MEETS BRITISH TAILORING
For Spring/Summer 2025 LC23 and Umbro reunite for a second round, building on the 2022 partnership that celebrated the 20th anniversary of Umbro’s iconic Speciali with the release of a light-hearted crochet interpretation.
This time, the project revisits the understated style of football’s most iconic managers and teams of the 1990s, a time when players and managers travelled looking smart in trench coats, tailored suits, crested blazers, shirts, and ties. Style that was sharp, sartorial, structured, and intentional.
Fusing Italian “eleganza” with British tailoring and Football cues, the three key items at the heart of the capsule are: a long trench coat worn by one of the era’s most commanding figures on the touchline; a bold knitted Away shirt from the late eighties/early nineties and a clean, premium Speciali sneaker in leather and suede with interchangeable tongues. All three styles are a contemporary take on Umbro classics with updated fits and considered details.
The collection also includes a number of upcycled Umbro products, such as a team travel bag, shower slides and a boot bag.
All pieces, new and upcycled, are held together by red whimsical crochet detailing.
The full collection (all new pieces made in Italy) includes:
- A classic trench coat made in Olmetex fabric, with embroidered logos and a removable collar in hand-made crochet.
- A sharply tailored blazer in Marzotto fabric with an embroidered pocket.
- Matching shorts in Marzotto fabric with embroidered logo.
- A knitted jersey in 100% cotton, with embroidered logos and numbers.
- Umbro Speciali sneaker in leather and suede, with three interchangeable tongues—including a hand-made crochet version with embroidered logo
- A tie made in Italy with embroidered logo.
- Football socks with jacquard logos.
- A branded metal tie clip.
- Shower slides upcycled with hand-crochet detail and embroidered logos.
- An upcycled Umbro team travel bag (with wheels) featuring an additional pocket in hand-made crochet with embroidered logos.
- Shoe bag with additional pocket in hand-made crochet with embroidered logos.
- Unlined Baseball cap with embroidered logos
