Nacional 24/25 Away kit

Ever since Nacional’s 2018 Away jersey had been named the ‘Fans jersey’, designing jerseys with input of their loyal fanbase is really important to Umbro – the club, the fans and Umbro are bound by this deep passion for football.

For the 2024 Away jersey we asked Nacional fans to create designs featuring La Banqueada, the Nacional’s neighbourhood, where their iconic “Gran Parque Central” stadium is located. More than 500 designs were submitted, which were then narrowed down to 5 designs by Nacional and Umbro. These 5 designs were then submitted to the vote of all Nacional fans. Over 10,000 fans voted for lifelong supporter Ivan Ferreira’s design.

For Ivan, like for many fans, football is a way of life. His winning concept was inspired by the heart of the neighborhood - the graffiti, the flags hanging from balconies and windows. Anyone who has walked the streets of La Banqueada will instantly recognize what inspired his design.

The 2024/25 Away jersey takes the blue from the tricolor of the Nacional badge and features red and white on the sleeve cuffs. Above the club crest the 3 Intercontinental Cups won by the club are proudly called out.

The campaign supporting the launch of this jersey, showcases a video featuring fans talking about their love for the club and their iconic neighbourhood. Nata, Maxi, and Natalia, all Nacional fans, share what it is like to live in La Baqueada. Being able to live there, is an honor and a privilege for them – and they would not want to be in another place. This commitment to their neighbourhood is expressed in a mural in front of the grandstands, reading “I will always come back to see you because I love you.”

7 months after announcing Ivan as the winner of the design competition, the 2024 Club De Nacional Away jersey is now available – from a fan for the fans, inspired by the streets of La Blanqueada.
